Questions

The shirt

What shirt do you use?

Every short and long sleeve tee is a premium tee of preshrunk 100 percent combed ring-spun cotton, printed to order, with a Patriarch Outfitters label inside the neck. The label carries the Patriarch logo, the size, the country of origin, and the material. Every design on the short and long sleeve tees comes as a short sleeve. Stand and Fight and Patriarch x Platform Resolve also come as a long sleeve. The short sleeve is a fitted cut. We use one shirt for each length across these tees so the feel and quality stay the same. The Stand and Fight Muscle Tee is a sleeveless muscle tank of 100 percent combed ring-spun cotton with the same label inside the neck.

Is your clothing 100 percent cotton?

Yes. Every short sleeve tee, long sleeve tee, and muscle tee is cut from 100 percent cotton, with no polyester in the fabric, and every beanie is 100 percent organic cotton. We only offer solid colors, not the heather blends.

Why cotton?

Cotton is a natural fiber. It is soft on the skin, it breathes, and it gets softer with wear. We chose it for every tee and beanie we make, and we offer solid colors only so the fabric is the same in every color.

What is combed ring-spun cotton?

Combing pulls the short fibers and stray matter out of the cotton before it is spun, and ring spinning twists the long fibers that remain into a fine, strong yarn. The result is a smooth, soft fabric that takes the print well. Every tee, long sleeve, and muscle tee we sell is made of it.

Which Bible translation is on the shirts?

The Berean Standard Bible (BSB), unless a design quotes a historical text such as the Geneva Bible or the King James Version. The BSB was dedicated to the public domain in 2023, so anyone may print it, free or for sale, with no license and no required credit line. Most modern translations are copyrighted and set terms for merchandise. We would rather the verse stand alone. Read more at Why we use the BSB.

Can I wear a Meet tee at a powerlifting meet?

Meet tees are made to go under a singlet, and the shirt itself is a plain single-layer cotton crew neck with no pockets, zippers, or reinforced seams. What each federation allows printed on the shirt differs, and the officials at equipment check make the final call. We keep a summary of the current rulebooks with links on the Meet tees page. Read your federation's rulebook before you compete.

How should I wash the shirt?

Turn it inside out and wash in cold water. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron directly on the print.

Sizing

How does sizing work?

Short sleeve shirts run from XS to 5XL and long sleeve shirts run from XS to 2XL. The 5XL comes in black and navy only. Larger sizes cost a little more to make, so 2XL adds $3, 3XL adds $5, 4XL adds $7, 5XL adds $9, and 6X8 adds $4 to $7. The short sleeve is a fitted cut, closer to the body than a standard tee. The charts below give flat measurements in inches, chest by length, for each. Measurements can vary by up to 2 inches. The fabric is preshrunk, but hot water can still shrink it slightly, so wash cold. If you are between two sizes, or you prefer a relaxed fit, choose the larger one.

Will the shirt shrink?

The fabric is preshrunk before the shirt is cut and sewn. Its maker states a maximum shrinkage of 5 percent in both length and width. Preshrunk cotton can still shrink slightly if washed in hot water, so wash cold and tumble dry low or hang dry.
